これからは今田平、桜街道の八重桜が見頃を迎えます。
桜街道についてはまた今度触れるとして、龍江には名桜のみならず個々人の庭先をはじめ、たくさんの桜が至る所に咲きます。
今回は大願寺の桜をアップします。
大願寺とは寛文元年（1661）開山の天台宗のお寺でリンゴ畑が広がる三区の丘陵地帯にあります。県道を千代方面に上っていくと右手に見えます。
ここで咲き誇るのは樹齢二百年を超えるエドヒガンザクラ。

エドヒガンザクラの鮮やかさをよりお伝えすることができるのではないでしょうか。
数年前までは夜桜ライトアップをされていましたが、今はライトアップしていないので、2枚目はカメラのシャッターを長時間開く長時間露光で撮影をしました。
昼間とは違った桜を見ることができます。ライトアップされたくさんの人で賑わう夜桜もいいですが、こういった静かな場所で普段と違った視点で桜を見るのも楽しいですね。
